The Washington Missourian, (St Louis MO) Wednesday, August 2, 2000, issue, page 4AA Richard Laker, Jr. Richard Vincent Laker, Jr., 54, known to most as Rich, Lonedell, died in St. Louis on July 23, 2000. Rich was born in St. Louis on September 26, 1945, son of Richard Vincent Laker Sr. and Menette Catherine Laker, nee Jaggie. On June 5, 1965, he married Norma Ruth King and they had two children. Rich is survived by his wife, Norma Ruth Laker, Lonedell; one son, Richard Vincent Laker III, known to most as Trey, St. Clair; one daughter, Jennifer Sohn and husband Matt, Lonedell; his parents, Richard Sr. and Menette Laker, Lonedell; one sister, Diane Moore and husband Gary Sr., Lonedell; his father- and mother-in-law, Dempsey and Ruth Eagan, O'Fallon; one sister-in-law, Linda Neel and husband Ed, Wildwood; one uncle; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends. Rich was of the Catholic faith and member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering. He was a truck driver by trade and was currently employed by the Fortune Farm Service. Rich was a past member of the Teamsters Local 700, where he served as trustee in past years. He was a member of the Bass Anglers Club. Visitation was held after 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m.. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering with Father John McEntee officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair.
