RAY LAWRENCE LAKEY

STILLWATER - The funeral for Ray Lawrence LAKEY, 86, will be 2 p.m. Saturday 
at Strode Funeral Chapel.  The Rev. Hollis MORRIS will officiate.  Burial 
will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

He was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Glenpool to Jabe Bishop and Felia Naomi NELSON 
LAKEY and died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at his home.

He married Dorothy Doramae LARGE at Stillwater in 1935 and later married 
Mary Katherine ROBBINS April 22, 1944, in Stillwater.

He had lived in Enid before moving to Stillwater in 1982.  He worked as a 
truck driver for Mistletoe Express, retiring after 31 years of service.  He 
was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivng are one son, Robert Eugene of Arlington, Texas;  and one daughter, 
Roseda Colleen HORNBERGER of Sun City, Ariz.;  two sisters, Aileen Coonie 
CATES and Flora Jane McDANIEL;  six grandchildren, seven 
great-grandchildren;  and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by both wives, one brother and two sisters.
