LAKINS, ORA MAE DANIEL- age 84 of Knoxville, passed away 12:58
p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Mrs. Lakins
moved from Grainger County to Knox County in the late 1940's with her
husband and became a member of John Sevier Baptist Church. For many
years, she was involved in foster care for Knox County and was a devoted
advocate of good childcare. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan;
son, Carroll; parents, Ellis and Laura Floyd Daniel; and brothers, Joe
Thomas and Preston Daniel. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law,
Robert and Jackie Lakins of Brentwood, TN; grandson and wife, Darrin
and Sherri Lakins; great-grandson, Jacob Lakins, all of Piney Flats, TN;
sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and R.D. Coltharp of Knoxville; brother
and sister-in-law, Charles and Virginia Daniel of Kingsport. Funeral
service 8:00 p.m.  Thursday at Stevens Chapel with Rev. Kemp Wynn
officiating. Family and friends will meet at Eastview Memorial Gardens
at 9:45 a.m. Friday for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
