LEEK, Mildred Ruth (BANKS) A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, in New Life Christian Center in Milwaukie for Mildred Ruth Leek, who died Aug. 11 at age 90. Mildred Ruth Banks was born July 26, 1916, in Ukiah, Calif. A homemaker, she lived in Eugene, Albany and Lebanon before moving to Beaverton in 1985. In 1935, she married Glen M.; he died in 1986. Survivors include her daughters, Susan L. Haddock and Margaret H. Leiberan; son, Lawrence M.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her daughter Virginia A. Sipe died in 2001; her daughter Betty M. Leek, in 1938. Arrangements by American Burial. Albany Democrat-Herald; Albany OR; 2006-8-16 July 25, 1916 - Aug. 11, 2006 Mildred Ruth Leek, 90, of Beaverton died Friday. She was born and raised in Ukiah, Calif., where she graduated from Ukiah High School. From 1956 to 1985, she lived in the Albany and Lebanon area. She had lived in Beaverton since 1985. Mildred married Glen Leek. They were married 52 years before his death in 1987. She was a homemaker. Glen and Mildred were very active in the First Christian Church in Albany and were in charge of the youth group of the church for many years. She is survived by children Susan Laraine Haddock, Lawrence Robert Leek and Margaret H. Leek Leiberan; grandchildren Timothy Wulf, Stacy Stewart, Robert Leek, Gregory Leek, David Leek, John Leek, Mark Leek, John David Haddock, Matthias Haddock and Julian Leiberan-Titus; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters Virginia Alice Sipe and Betty Marie Leek. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Life Christian Center in Milwaukie.
