She was born in St. Louis on March 10, 1924, daughter of Edward J. Jaggie Sr. and Myrtle Jaggie, nee Walters. On November 25, 1944, she married Richard Vincent Laker Sr. and had two children. Mrs. Laker is survived by her husband, Richard V. Laker Sr., Lonedell; her daughter, Diane Moore and husband Gary, Lonedell; her daughter-in-law, Norma Laker, Lonedell; four grandchildren, Gary Moore Jr. and wife Dawn, Lonedell, Jason Moore, Lonedell, Richard Vincent "Trey" Laker III, St. Clair, and Jennifer Sohn and husband Matt, Lonedell; one brother-in-law, Edward B. Laker, California; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Myrtle Jaggie; her son, Richard V. Laker Jr.; one brother, Edward J. Jaggie Jr.; and by one sister, Lavern Oswald. Mrs. Laker was a devoted Catholic and member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering. She was also a member of the St. Ann's Sodality and in past years was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Luebbering. During her working years she was employed as a cafeteria supervisor for the Normandy Public School District. Visitation was held after 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with parish prayer services held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church near Luebbering. Burial was in the church cemetery. Masses or memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Society may be made.
