Mrs. Lake dies in her 90th year Resident of South Montrose 65 years Passes away Sunday from Infirmities Mrs. Margaret Lake, widow of Isaac Lake, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. J. Allen, in South Montrose, on Sunday morning, Dec. 5, 1926, at 11:30 o'clock. Mrs. Lake attained her 89th birthday anniversary on August 19th last, but was surprisingly active until about two weeks before her death, when she was obliged to keep to her bed until released by death. Deceased before her marriage was Miss Margaret Raub, daughter of Michael and Mary Raub, and was born in Warren County, N.J. About sixty-five years ago she came to So. Montrose, where she had since made her home. Her husband died about forty-seven years ago. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Michael L. Lake, of South Montrose; E. R. Lake of Springville; Mrs. Clark E. Voss, of Montrose, and Mrs. Allen, of South Montrose. Mrs. Lake was well known in the vicinity in which her long life was spent. Her friendly attitude toward all and interest in their welfare made her beloved in the community and nearly everyone knew her best as "Grandma Lake". The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Allen, Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. C. Dodge, pastor of the Montrose Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in the South Montrose cemetery. The casket bearers were six grandsons: Mark, Ralph and Bruce Lake, Glenn L. Voss, Guy Allen and Clayton Garey.
