Lakey Sr., 90, of Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, died in his residence Dec. 16, 2005, at 7:30 a.m. He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Galesville, Wis., to William and Lizzie Wilber Lakey. On Oct. 13, 1940, he married Agnes Nelson, who preceded him in death. Moving to the Warsaw area in 1953 from Trempealea, Wis., he was a semi truck driver, working for C.A.T. in Wisconsin before retiring in 1985. He attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Teamster Union. He enjoyed fishing and helping other people. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Lillian) Tschantz, Warsaw; a son, Lyle W. Lakey Jr., Warsaw; a sister, Alice Jonas, Houston, Minn.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Wanda Carter officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. A committal service will be at the Oakwood Chapel, Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is one hour before the service Monday. Memorials to the Warsaw Wesleyan Church Youth Group, 2402 W.
