The Plainfield Courier-News March 27, 1952 Plainfeild NJ Mrs. Lena B. Lake Is Dead at 80. Neshanic -- Mrs. Lena B. Lake, 80, of Amwell Rd., widow of Evans G. Lake, died yesterday (Mar. 26, 1952) in Somerset Hospital, Somerville, after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Neshanic, a member of the Neshanic Reformed Church and of its Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies. She also belonged to the King's Daughters and the Neshanic Garden Club. She is survived by a son, Edward E. of Neshanic Station; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Thatcher Sr. of South Branch and Mrs. Alexander Victor of Neshanic; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Sutphen Funeral Home, Somerville. The Rev. George B. Scholten, pastor of the Neshanic Reformed Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Neshanic Cemetery.
