Medical Center in Ruleville. Funeral services are pending with Byas
Funeral Home in Ruleville.

Jurlean Lakes, 69, of Drew, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at the North
Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville. Funeral services will be
held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Holly Grove with the Elder J.D. Lakes
officiating. Burial will follow at Elvoid Lakes Cemetery in Drew under
the direction of Byas Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to
4:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Ruleville.

Survivors include her husband, Elvoid Lakes of Drew; sons, J.D. Lakes
of Tupelo, Elvoid Lakes III of Upper Marlboro, Md., Melvin Eugene Lakes
of Richland, Wash., Bruce Earl Lakes of Ruleville, Rodney Lee Lakes
of Greenville, and Cedric Undra Lakes of Drew; daughters, Thelma Jean
Anderson and Glady Jean Lakes, both of Memphis, Catherine L.  Lawrence of
Orlando, and Gail Rena Lakes of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Joe Busby of
Webb and Jim Busby of Sumner; sisters, Alberta Wheeler of Grand Junction,
MI, Bessie Boyd of Sumner and Mary King of Omaha, NE; 26 grandchildren;
and 12 great- great grandchildren.

Medical Center in Ruleville.
  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov.  19, at
Holly Grove Church in Drew.  Burial will be in Elvoid Lakes Cemetery.
Elder J.D. Lakes will officiate.  Byas Funeral Home-Ruleville is in
charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday from 2-4:30 p.m. at
the funeral home and 5 - 7 p.m. at the church.
