Beloved husband of 45 years of Joyce Crumb. Dear father of Jeffrey (ann), Johnathan (Trudy) all of North Bay. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jordyn, Jeremy, Tina, Ocean, Damian and daughter-in-law Denise Masters of North Bay. Dear brother of Vera Youngblut and Bill Leek of St Catherines. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Alice Leek, a sister Violet and brother Bob. Jim worked for the Assessment Office January 1955, he was transferred to the Provincial Assessment Bureau in 1964 in Toronto. After a number of office transfers one of which was Sundridge where he was office manager. He was transferred to the North Bay Regional Assessment Office where he retired after 35 years. Jim was a member of the Phelps EX-Service Mans Club. While residing in Sundridge he joined the Sundridge Lions Club in October 1967. When he moved to North Bay in 1969 he joined the Widdifield Lions Club. During his 33 years as a Lion he was club president for two terms, secretary trearsuer since 1994, Zone Chairman 17 N 1974/1975, Deputy District Governor of Region 17 1976/1977 and Region Chairman. Jim was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, which is the highest honor bestowed to a member. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and his fellow Lions. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Pediatric Cancer Center in Sudbury will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
