THE TIMES-ADVOCATE, Escondido, CA Monday 16 February 1981 ESCONDIDO - Jerry Lakey, 88, of 7 Bermuda Lane, died Feb. 13 in a Lakeside convalescent home. He was born Oct. 20, 1892, in Reynolds, NE, and had lived in Escondido for 53 years. He owned and operated several restaurants here before his retirement. Surviving are a daughter, Twila Clark of Carpenteria; three grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and four sisters, including Ava Daiss and Pearl Smith, both of Escondido. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Feb. 17 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Rev. James Welch, associate pastor of the Emmanuel Faith Community Church, will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm today at the Alhiser-Wilson Mortuary Chapel.
