LEEK, HOWARD MARSHALL - of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, June 17,
2003 at his home. Born September 13, 1936. Mr. Leek is a veteran of
the United States Navy where he served 8 years. Preceded in death by
his parents, Ralph and Lulu Leek; sister, Trula Leek. Survivors include
wife, Laverne Leek; daughter and son in law, Donna and Brian Shepard;
grandson, Zackery Shepard; sisters, Lillian Richards, Helen Tindell and
Betty Weaver; brother and sister in law, Herbert and Nancy Leek; several
nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Betty Leake and Heidi Wise and
all the staff of Baptist Hospital Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please
make donations to Sand Branch United Methodist Church Youth Department,
2301 Thorn Grove Pike, Knoxville, Tenn. 37914. Funeral services will be
held 8 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2003 in the Evergreen Chapel with Rev. Kim
Isley officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 10:45 a.m.
in the Asbury Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service. The Leek family
will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. Evergreen Chapel and Memorial
Gardens in charge of arrangements.
