H.G. Leek, 81, of Dumas and Hot Springs, died February 18, 2001, at
Hot Springs.

He was born February 8, 1920, a son of the late Henry Griffin Leek
Sr. and Grace O. Robertson Leek.

He was a retired farmer and a member of New Salem United Methodist
Church. He served in the armed services during World War II

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Susan Leek.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly Sue Lavender Leek, to whom he was
married for 58 years; two sons, Lynn Morris Leek of Kingwood, Texas,
and Stephen A. Leek of Little Rock; two sisters, Audrey Leek Stebbins
of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Kay Leek Ridout of Hawthorne, California;
a brother, Adrian Leek of Star City; five grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist
Church at Dumas with the Rev. Buddy Ratliff officiating. Burial will be
in Jefferson Cemetery near Winchester by Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas.

Memorials may be made to Susan Leek Memorial Scholarship Fund, First
United Methodist Church at Dumas, or to the building fund of New Salem
United Methodist Church at Hot Springs.
