LAKES, GLORIA B., beloved wife of 51 years and mother to three children,
passed away on March 8, 2004, in Plano, TX. She was born April 4, 1938,
in Washington County, TX to John D. and Fannie Mae Lewis. She married
Robert Lakes, Jr. on December 20, 1952, in Navasota, TX. She was a devoted
wife and mother who drew her strength from her Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. Gloria is survived by her husband, Robert; her three children,
Bobby, Sharon, and Tanya; her sister, Willa Mae Lakes; her brother,
Jay D. Lewis and his wife, Doris; nephew, Anthony Lewis and his wife,
Felicia; a niece, Tiye Young and her husband, Harold; a two great-nephews;
and two great-nieces. There are also countless friends who will mourn her
passing. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 from 6-8
p.m. at Restland Funeral Home.  Services will be held on March 11, 2004 at
11:00 a.m. at Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Plano, TX, 3501 Sherry
