"Butch" Leeke Jr., 51, of Harrisburg, died 8:51 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2003, at Harrisburg Medical Center. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Gaskins Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Spicer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at the funeral home. He was born Nov. 29, 1951, in Harrisburg to George W. and Louise (Barber) Leeke Sr. On Dec. 20, 1999, he married the former Merlin Ybanez, who survives. He was an investigator for a detective service. He was a member of Christ Gospel in Evansville, Ind. and a life member of the Eldorado VFW. He was a Vietnam-era veteran with the 287 Military Police Battalion stationed in Berlin, Germany.. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, George W. Leeke Sr. of Eldorado; a son, Kris Leeke of Harrisburg; two daughters, Elizabeth E. Leeke and Michaela Leeke, both of Harrisburg; and a sister, Georgia Ewing of Eldorado. He was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. B.G. Dale and Jack Dale; and a sister, Della Dale. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the family.
