Franklin Ruel Leake, 64, of Orient, Oh., passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Oh. after a brief illness. He was born November 27, 1940 at Holden, W.Va., the son of the late Henry G. and Eva (Beatty) Leake. Franklin was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired from Lennox Industries and Nationwide Insurance. Survivors include wife, Hettie (Hall) Leake of Orient, Oh.; son, Franklin R. Leake Jr. of Londonderry, Oh.; daughter and son-in-law, Hettie and Michael Pugh of Chillicothe, Oh.; grandchildren (the light of his life), Kaitlyn and Christian Pugh of Chillicothe; brother, George T. (Ruth) Leake of Princeton, W.Va.; sisters, Elizabeth (Orville) Bradley of Whitman, W.Va. and Mary F. Leake of Logan, W.Va.; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the Concord United Methodist Church on U.S. Rt. 50 East. Rev. Kevin McLaughlin officiating with the burial following in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main St., Mt.
