The News-Review; Roseburg OR; 2004-4-25 Lakin, Faye - Age 86, of Camas Valley, Oregon, passed away on April 21, 2004, in a local care center. She was born on march 9, 1918, in Booneville, Arkansas. On September 7, 1935 in Booneville she married Joseph Lakin who preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs Lakin had lived in the Roseburg, Oregon area since 1952. In the early 1960s she drove school buses for the Riddle School District and had worked for the Golden Rule in Myrtle Creek. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Riddle. Survivors include one son, Donald R Lakin and his wife, Marilyn of Camas Valley; one daughter, Treva Anderson and her husband, Irvin of Roseburg; a son-in-law, Robert Van Doran of Roseburg; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, Cleta VanDoren prececed her in death in 2000 and a son, Bob J. Lakin preceded her in death in 1964. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2004, at 11a.m. in Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Pastor Howard Johnson of the Bethany Bible Fellowship will officiate. Long and Shukle Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
