LAKEY
Mrs. Evie Livengood Lakey, 93, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, Aug.
29, 2002, at the Springwood Care Center. She was born June 18, 1909,
in Forsyth County to Ann Campbell and John Thomas Livengood. Mrs. Lakey
was a member of Boyer's Chapel Church of Christ and was retired from
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Arthur Ben Lakey.  Surviving are a brother, W.T Livengood (wife Juanita)
of Winston-Salem; a nephew, Randy H. Freeman of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and
three nieces, Rhonda Ferrell of Wallburg, Linda Warner of Clemmons and
Vickie Sisson of Pfafftown. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 1, 2002, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Mr. James
A. Percival officiating.  Burial will follow at Boyer's Chapel Church
of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this
evening at the funeral home.
