Evanston Review; Evanston IL; 2000-11-30 Etta (nee Goldberg) Laker, 73, died Nov. 12 at her home in Clearwater, Fla. Mrs. Laker, who was born in New York City, had previously lived in Winnetka and Wilmette. For more than 10 years, she worked as the Evanston display advertising representative for the Pioneer Press newspapers. In 1987 she moved from Wilmette to Clearwater, Fla., and held various positions in the advertising field. Prior to her retirement, she was a sales agent for Russell Jones Advertising. Survivors include her husband, Peter A.; a son, David, of Chicago; a daughter, Barbara, of Philadelphia; two brothers, David Goldberg of Sarasota, Fla., and Sam Goldberg of New York City; and two grandchildren.
