Glendon Lakes, age 73, of Leesburg, Florida, died Monday September 22,
1997.  He retired from General Motors, Marion, Indiana, after 32 years.  He
was born in Butler County, Ohio.  He was a veteran of the United States
Army during World War II.
He is survived by his mother, Jessie Lakes of Middletown; wife, Irma J.
Lakes of Leesburg, Florida; sons, Larry G. of Elkhart, Indiana, Steven L.
of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Chester of Palmetto, Florida; sisters,
Ann Turner of Middletown, Ohio, Wilma Kershner of Upland, California; and
six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Homer B. Lakes
and a sister, Doris E. Bridgefor
