LAKINS, DONALD "PUDDLES" - 61 of Rutledge, passed away December 8, 2007
after a long illness. He has served as constable for 1st District for
the past 30 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Laura
Lakins. He is survived by loving wife of 38 years Glenda; son, Randy; and
daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Dwayne Humbard, all of Rutledge. He
has two special grandchildren, Kayla Lakins and unborn Colton Humbard;
brothers, Curt, Howard, Randall of Rutledge, Jimmy and David both of
Jefferson County; sister, Agnes Gaylon of Kentucky; also a host of special
nieces, nephews, friends, family, and special daughter-in-law, Lisa Lakins
Scott.  The family will receive friends Monday, December 10 from 6 to 8 at
Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge. Rev. Hollis Dunsmore, Dwight Bull, Buddy
Hipsher, and Lonnie Swiney officiating. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday,
December 11, at Noah's Chapel American Christian Church. Graveside
services to follow in Noah's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith
Funeral Home in Rutledge.
