Leek, 73, of Spanish Fork, passed away September 16, 2001 in Sandy, Utah. He was born February 22, 1928 to Frank and Elva Daley Leek. He married Ruby Ann Allred September 7, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. He attended elementary school in Thistle, and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. Don worked for the Railroad, Orson Brown Chevrolet, Gridley Chevrolet, Harmons Motor Company, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Thorn Construction, and Utah County as a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Post 68 in Spanish Fork. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports. He was an elder in the LDS Church. Survivors include one son and two daughters: Steven Don Leek, St. Louis, MO; Vickie Endicott, Sandy; Sherrie (Jed) Mitchell of Spanish Fork; two sisters: Betty Lundell, Benjamin, Ethel (Don) Sturgess, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many nieces, and nephews; and long time friend and companion Susie Allred. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: George Leek, Kenneth Leek; two sisters Violet Bradley, and Helen Hansen. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary of Spanish Fork, 187 South Main Street. Friends and Family may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., or Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
