2005, at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta. Funeral services are
pending with Byas Funeral Home in Ruleville.

Derrick Darnell Lakes 11/22 

Derrick Darnell Lakes, 31, of Atlanta, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005,
at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held
at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at New Morning Star COGIC in Cleveland with Elder
Walter Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Drew Cemetery under the
direction of Byas Funeral Home.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Staple Lakes of Drew; sons,
Derrick Darnell Lakes Jr. of Stockbridge, Ga., Mohn Terion Darquez of
Houston; daughter, Kennedi Jenae Lakes of Birmingham; brothers, Terry
Price of Gary, Ind., Lee Andrew Lakes III and Adrian Clark, both of Drew,
Vincent Dewayne Lakes of Memphis, and Errick Marcell Lakes of Cleveland;
and sisters, Demetra Suzetta Lakes, Barbara Ann Lakes, Carolyn Denise
Lakes, and Sheila Rena Lakes, all of Drew.

  Derrick Darnell Lakes, 31, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Drew,
died November 16, 2005 at Atlanta Medical Center.
  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov.  26, at New
Morning Star Church of God in Christ in Cleveland.  Burial will be in
Drew Cemetery.  Elder Walter Dixon will officiate.  Byas Funeral Home -
Ruleville is in charge of arrangements.
  Mr. Lakes is survived by his daughter, Kennedi Jenae Lakes of
Birmingham, Ala.; sons, Derrick Darnell Lakes, Jr. of Stockbridge,
Georgia, and Mohn Terion Darquez of Houston; mother, Juanita Staple Lakes
of Drew; sisters, Demetra Suzetta Lakes, Barbara Ann Lakes, Carolyn Denise
Lakes and Sheila Rena Lakes, all of Drew; and brothers, Terry Price of
Gary, Indiana, Lee Andrew Lakes, III of Drew, Vincent Dewayne Lakes of
Memphis, Tenn. Errick Marcell Lakes of Cleveland and Adrian Clark of Drew.
