LAKINS, MRS. DELTA ROACH - age 83 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday 
December 27, 2001 at Hillcrest North Medical Nursing Institute.  Mrs. 
Lakins was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved 
by all who knew her.  Member of Greenway Baptist Church.  Retired from The 
Krystal Company with over 20 years service and preceded in death by her 
husband, Luther S. Lakins.  Survivors:  daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and 
Gene Huskey of Clinton Township, MICH, Mary and Etchel McDaniel of 
Rutledge, Barbara Crusenberry of Lansing, TN, Phyllis and Herbert Hill of 
Knoxville, Senora and Jim DeFord of Knoxville, Sheila Lakins of Rutledge 
and Teresa Sue Wood of Knoxville; sons and daughters in law, Luther (Sonny) 
and Sharon Lakins of Jefferson City; Gary and Wawanna Lakins of Knoxville; 
28 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; 
sister, Rosemary Roach of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral 
services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with 
Rev. Steve Lakin and Rev. Wayne Roach officiating.  Interment will follow 
at Greenwood Cemetery.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.  The family 
will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary 
Broadway Chapel.
