Dave Lakin of Hazel Green, a retired electrical engineer, died Thursday.  He
was 76.
Mr. Lakin was a Navy veteran of World War II, worked with NASA for 33 years
and was a member of the Hazel Green United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Lakin of Hazel Green; four sons, Randy
Sargent and Russ Lakin of Harvest, and Shea Lakin and Max Lakin, both of
Meridianville; two sisters, Billie Wingard of Kentucky and Roberta Riffe of
Florida; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev.
Jim Stringfellow and the Rev. Jeff Havens officiating.  Burial will be in
Maple Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to cancer or lung research.
