The Press Issaquah, Washington Wednesday, August 13, 2008 Obituary Clarice L. Lakey Clarice L. Lakey, of Isaquah, died at Evergreen Hospice on Tues, July 29, 2008. She was 79 A celebration of her life will be at 3 p.m. Aug 20 at Sunset Hills Mimorial Park, Bellevue. Clarice was born Oct. 23, 1928, in League City, Texas, to Michael and Elsie Dobray. The Family moved to Issaquah in 1945 and Clarice graduated from Issaquah High School in 1946. She married Bill A. Lakey on June 17, 1946. They made their home in Issaquah and later moved to Mercer Island, where they raised their children. They built a home on East Lake Sammamish and moved their in 1973. Bill preceded her in death in 1982. Clarice worked as a nurse for many years. Clarice and her husband were charter members of the Issaquah Elks. Clarice was also a member of the Children's Orthopedic Holspital League and spent many years doing fundraising. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her familiy and friends. Survivors include her two sons, Kevin Lakey, of Woodinville, and Kirk Lakey, Bellevue; daughter Laura Lakey, of Seatsound, Wash; sister Ruth Darst, of Issaquah; and six grandchildren. The family suggests remembances to Children's Hospital.
