Winston-Salem Journal; Winston-Salem NC; 2000-3-23 LAKEY MOCKSVILLE_ Mrs. Betty Jo Foster Lakey, 62, of Madison Road, Mocksville died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Marshall and the Rev. Jasper Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Hardison United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The family request that memorials be considered for the building fund of Hardison United Methodist Church, 1630 Jericho Church Road, Mocksville, N.C. 27028. Mrs. Lakey was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Davie County to the late Joe and Eva McClamrock Foster and was a homemaker and accomplished pianist. She was a member of Hardison United Methodist Church and was pianist for the children's choir. She was also the pianist for the Senior Citizens Rhythm Band. She was a graduate of Mocksville High School Class of 1956. She is survived by her husband, C. Clyde Lakey, of the home; four daughters, Auburn L. Bailey of Mocksville, Margaret L. Sims of Cornelius, Brenda L. Epperson of Mount Airy and Becky L. Jones of Rural Hall; six grandchildren; one sister, Lou Phillips of Mocksville; two brothers, Mack Foster and Tex Foster, both of Mocksville. LAWRENCE Mrs. Hallie Norman Lawrence, 88, of 515 W. Kapp St., Dobson, and formerly of 2376 S. Main St., Mount Airy. The wife of the late Mr. Robert ''Bob'' Lawrence.
