LAKIN, G. Bernice, left this world laughing on August 21, 2000, 10 days
before her 83rd birthday. She was born August 31, 1917 in Paducah, TX
to Walter C. and Nettie (SCRAPER) HELTON. She was preceded in death by
her parents, her husband James in 1990, a brother and a sister. She is
survived by 2 daughters, Linda Rae NICHOLS of OKC and Sandra Lea DUNLAP
of Claremore, OK; 2 stepchildren, Jimmie LAKIN and wife Fern of Wagoner,
OK and Carolyn and husband Bob ROMINE of Broken Arrow, OK; brother
Homer HELTON and wife Jean of Altus, OK; sister-in-law, Floyda HELTON
of San Antonio, TX; 3 grandchildren, Jaime NICHOLS of OKC, Rachael and
Rosie DUNLAP, both of Claremore, OK; 4 step grandchildren; and 7 step
great grandchildren.  Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 25 at
Putnam City Church of Christ with interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
