BARBARA STRINGER 
NAPLES, Texas-Barbara Lakey Stringer, 81, of Omaha, Texas, died Wednesday, 
May 2, 2001, in Omaha. 
Mrs. Stringer was born April 29, 1920, in Port Neches, Texas. She was a 
retired nurse and member of Omaha First Baptist Church and Berean Sunday 
School Class. 
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Stringer of Omaha; three sons, Steve 
Perkins of Torrance, Calif., Kenneth Perkins of Midland, Texas, and Terry 
Perkins of Bangor, Maine; one brother, Larry Lakey of Omaha; one sister, Ruth 
McLendon of Bryan, Texas; and three grandchildren. 
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. 
Neal Thornburgh officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Cemetery under direction 
of Alexander Funeral Home.
