Jacobus Lake was on the town committee in Montgomery Twp in 1783 and 1784. Walter Benthall conveyed land in Montgomery Twp, Somerset Co to Nicholas Lake (undated). This same land was coveyed by Nicholas Lake and his wife Mary on 16 Apr 1739 to John Gordon. According to an assessment roll in Bedminster Twp, Somerset Co taken in 1787 Susannah Lake owned 30 acres of land and paid 11 shillings and 6 pence in taxes.
