You are correct I did make a typo. Gilbert Lake and Ellen/Eleanor Brown/
Lena/Magdelena Brouwer were married about 1784. Thier first known child
was born 1785.  one of the son's Abraham Lake who is my ancestor gives
in the Baptism record her parents as Gysbert Leak and Lena Brouwer. His
death certficate gives his parents as Gilbert Lake and Ellen Brown.
None of the baptisms give any witnesses.  The children were John, Abraham,
Court, Neeltje, Court, Majeke, Lena, and Rachel.
