"Sergeant Lake lived where Watson Dalrymple now lives.  His wife was
Letitia, daughter of Thomas West and Rachel Hoagland.  Their children
were: Lydia, Cornelius, Rachel Mary, Thomas and George W.  There were
other children but these are all I can name."

"William R. Lake, son of Sergeant Lake was killed in Kansas by a man from
whom he was trying to collect a debt.  William R. spent his boyhood days
in Baptistown."
