Press & Sun-Bulletin; Binghamton NY; 2002-2-18 & 2002-2-19 Pauline L Kishpaugh of Owego, New York Pauline L Kishpaugh, 90, of Owego, New York, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2002, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Owego. She was born in OWego, NY, December 26, 1911, the duaghter of the late Willard and Blanche (Griffin) Kishpaugh. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Harriett (William) Miller, Margerite (Jacob) Levengood; and one sister-in-law, Margaret (Midge) Kishpaugh. She is survived be her two brothers, George Kishpaugh, and Conrad (Mary Ellen) Kishpaugh, both of Owego. She chose this Bible quotation to make lfe worth living: "Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will enjoy the light of life." Her adult life during the decades of the 1940's and through the 1980's were mainly spent in public school and Methodist Church education. She served in various areas of her local church as well as Director of Children's Work for the Wyoming Conference of the United Methodist Church. Besides family and Church, she appreciated her kindergarten teaching for a quarter century in the Spencer Central School District, and 60 years in the Owego United Methodist Sunday School. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2002, at 11:00 am from the Owego United Methodist Church, Main Street, Owego, NY. Friends are invited to call at the Church Library on Saturday, February 23, 2002 from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Owego United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 261 Main St, Owego, NY 13827, or the Waterman Conservation Education Center, 403 Hilton Rd, Apalachin, NY 13732.
